Do you ever get in a hole emotionally and just can’t seem to get out? I mean really down and out don’t want to think, do anything…just kill the day in numbness? Where not existing sounds pretty good? You are not alone. Several times in my life I have been right there. As a matter of fact, I started using essential oils because I was seeking emotional relief. (Click HERE for my story.)
Since they helped me, they might help you, too. It is worth checking out.
The reality is, most truly therapeutic-grade essential oils are uplifting to some degree because they raise frequency in the body. That is one of the many reasons I invest in the oils Young Living Essential Oils offers. They go to great lengths to ensure we get what we pay for – exceptional quality essential oils that work.
There are a lot of oils that are well known for uplifting emotions. My suggestion is to select one or two oils (or a blend) to use and find out what works best for you. Write down your experiences so you can recognize and remember the changes.
Just to keep things simple, here are a few of my favorite “happy oils”:
Valor: Drop 3 – 5 drops in your non-dominant hand. Stir the oils with your other hand.* INHALE, then put the oils on your feet and hold with your opposite hands – left hand on right foot & right hand on left foot. Hold for a minute or so until you a balanced, energetic pulse in both feet. OR if you are in a hurry, apply Valor to your wrists and hold together for a minute or so with the intent of balancing your energy.
Joy: Apply a drop over the heart/thymus area. Inhale. This floral blend is uplifting and is said to open up lymph glands and adrenals that may shut down during times of grief & depression. This blend is true to its name by bringing joy to the heart!
Stress Away: Apply wherever. The predominant scent of this roll-on blend is vanilla and lime. Lime oil is naturally uplifting. Vanilla contains naturally occurring eugenol which works to reduce nervous tension. In addition, this blend also contains lavender, cedarwood and ocotea, all calming to the nervous system.
Peace & Calming: The oils in this blend are calming and relaxing. It has the “happy” citrus oils tangerine & orange, and balancing ylang ylang oil. The blend is completed with calming patchouli and blue tansy. Wear as a perfume or cologne. Inhale or diffuse. Apply to navel, feet or back of neck.
Neroli: This beautiful oil from orange blossoms is naturally calming and has been used successfully to uplift the mood. Helps to strengthen and stabilize the emotions. It calms the heart and mind which allows one focus in the present. Apply & diffuse.
Present Time has neroli, spruce and ylang ylang in it…all beneficial for emotional balance. Rub clockwise over thymus and tap 3 times with index and middle fingers.
Hope: The single oils in this blend have the ability to help support the body physically and mentally to give us hope. It contains melissa, myrrh, juniper and spruce.
Spruce: Helps release emotional blocks and is grounding. When I think of tree oils, I think of standing tall with strong roots that go deep into the ground for stability. Valor, mentioned above, also contains spruce.
Citrus Oils: Last but not least, most citrus oils are uplifting and promote feelings of happiness. These include bergamot, orange, tangerine, lemon, lime, neroli (orange blossoms), grapefruit and petitgrain (bitter orange tree leaves).
Therapeutic-grade essential oils are highly effective when distilled with knowledge and respect. That’s why I recommend Young Living Essential Oils. They are authentic therapeutic-grade essential oils. Many oils on the market are perfume grade, diluted, adulterated with pesticides, distilled with chemicals or even synthetic.
*Actually, do this with ALL of your oils because it increases the frequency of the oils and allows the oils to harmonize with your energy.
